The Blount Hospitality House is a 501c3 non-profit organization. The House is supported by donations from businesses, churches, clubs, individuals, and house guests. Donations are tax deductible. The Executive Director and Board of Directors also coordinate fund raising events throughout the year.
We do three direct mail fundraisers each year. The Hospitality Ball in March is a phantom ball in which we invite "attendees" to stay at home but send a check! "One Day at a Time" in September requests businesses to donate money to operate the House for one day. The Honor Tree in December is an invitation for individuals to make a donation in honor or memory of someone. Our Hospitality House Christmas tree shines with hundreds of donation ornaments.
Mark the calendar for our 2nd Annual Rudolph Run on December 15, 2007! The Rudolph Run will feature a 5K run and a 1 mile fun run. The course will “fly” participants through the beautifully decorated streets of downtown Huntsville, including the Twickenham and Old Town Historic Districts. The 5K race will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the 1 Mile will begin at 9:15 a.m. The Awards ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. Both Races will be start at Santa’s Village, located at Constitution Village, 109 Gates Avenue, downtown Huntsville. Our annual Fashion Show, combined with a silent auction and raffle, has become a must-attend springtime event in Huntsville. Local boutiques and shops use this opportunity to showcase clothing, accessories, shoes, hair-styling, cosmetics, and gift items. It's a win-win event for the Blount Hospitality House and the generous merchants in our community!

"I don't know what I would have done if it had not been for Blount Hospitality House! Not knowing anyone and being in a strange place, worrying about my husband - I really felt at home there."
